Typical bar atmosphere with very friendly staff and fast service. I wouldn't have chosen this as a place to eat on my own, it was recommended, and my friend was right. I have only been for breakfast but it was great! Best omelettes in town.

It was 45 minutes from when we entered until we received our food. The pancakes were burned... Otherwise the fare was average diner food. We ran across this because a place with higher Yelp rating was closed for a private party... We will keep looking next time.

Ate lunch here based on the positive reviews but really can't recommend it based on my experience. Maybe I was there at the wrong time and on the wrong day of the week (Tuesday lunch), but the dish I ordered was not good at all. Add to that I noticed after placing my order that they are cash only (had $6 on me), so I had to spend $2 extra to get cash from the atm in the bar and they don't have a restroom accessible to those under age 21(!). It was not a relaxing dining experience for me and my family.

Looks like this place hasn't changed much over the years. 30 years ago, after a week in the Wallowas wilderness, my friend and I used to look forward to breakfast at The Long Branch on our way back to Portland. It was fantastic then, sounds like it still is. How I miss this place. Might just be enough reason to head back to La Grande someday here real soon. Real local eggs, bacon, and other good stuff. Honest biscuits and gravy like no others. Mmmmmmm! Nice to know some things are still the same.

This guy I know told me I could find Marshal Dillon in here. I didn't. Didn't see Miss Kitty either. Some guys lie. I was never too fond of Marshals anyway. The food here is way better than average. Service was prompt and the clientele are my kind of folks.
